Earn ChanTan Studio credits without paying more — a free daily spin, the affiliate program (a share of every top-up your invited friends make), cashback on every top-up, and milestone rewards.
There are several ways to add credits to your wallet without buying more. All of them live on the "Wallet" page — click the ⚡ number in the top bar to get there.
1. The Daily Prize Wheel — one free spin every day
At the top of the Wallet page you'll find "Daily Spin". When a spin is waiting, a red dot pulses. Otherwise it shows "Next in {time}".
- Press "SPIN".
- You win between 5 and 500 credits. Small prizes are common; 500 credits is very rare.
- Press "Add to balance" on the win card — the credits are yours immediately.
One spin per day, per account. Clicking twice can't give you two prizes — the second click just shows you the prize you already won, and you'll see "You claimed {n} credits today." with a countdown.
2. Invite friends — this is the affiliate program now
The old "500 credits per friend" referral reward is gone. Inviting friends now goes through the affiliate program (section 6 below): you earn a share of every wallet top-up your invited friends make during their first months, and the friend gets a one-time credit bonus after their first top-up.
There is no "Invite friends" card on the Wallet page and no Referrals tab in Settings anymore — everything lives on the "Make Money with ChanTan" page (green button in the header).
⚠️ Seen "500 credits" somewhere? That was the previous program. The affiliate page shows the only numbers that count today.
3. Cashback — money back, in dollars
Cashback is a dollar balance, not credits. You earn a percentage of every purchase you make.
- Your percentage comes from your loyalty tier — Gold earns 4%, for example.
- You need at least $10 of cashback before you can use it. Until then the card says "{amount} more to unlock".
- Once ready the card says "Ready to use", and a tick-box appears at checkout: "Apply $23.00 cashback".
Cashback is a discount on the price of your next purchase. You still receive the full credits of the package you chose. As the page puts it: "It's store credit toward purchases — not spent directly as AI credits."
It's all-or-nothing: ticking the box uses your whole cashback balance on that purchase.
4. Loyalty tiers — automatic, nothing to apply for

Tiers are earned by spending credits, not by buying them — a big package doesn't raise your tier on its own. It happens automatically, and a progress bar on the Wallet page shows how far you are from the next one (for example "20,271 credits to Platinum (5%)").
5. Milestone rewards — unlocked as you build
Open "Rewards" at the top of the Wallet page. Rewards sit under "Ready to claim", "In progress" or "Claimed".
Press "Claim reward", then "Add to balance" on the gift that opens.

"Create 3 projects" really does pay 0 credits. Creating projects is free, so it unlocks as an achievement without paying. It's not a bug.
6. The affiliate program — earn from every top-up
It lives on its own page: press the green "Make Money with ChanTan" button in the header.
How it works:
- You get a personal invite link, shown with a Copy button on that page.
- You earn a percentage of every wallet top-up made by each person who joins through your link, for a limited number of months from their registration.
- The person you invited gets a one-time free-credit bonus after their first top-up.
- Commissions show up instantly. They are invoiced monthly (NET 30): what you earn in January is invoiced on February 25.
- Credits (the default): added to your wallet automatically on that day — any amount, no minimum.
- PayPal (turn off "Convert my payout amount to balance" and enter your PayPal email): sent by hand before the end of that month, for balances of at least the minimum shown on the page — smaller balances roll over to the next month.
- The payout table shows each month as scheduled (invoiced, waiting for payment), payment in progress (the PayPal transfer is being made), paid, or rolled over.
- Refunds, disputes and chargebacks are deducted. Inviting yourself or inviting each other earns nothing, and a friend who pays with the affiliate's own card earns nothing either. The friend's bonus is paid only on a card that has never funded another ChanTan account; otherwise the friend simply gets no bonus — your commission is unaffected, unless that card already paid for another friend you invited: one card can earn you commission on one friend only.
⚠️ Read the exact numbers on the affiliate page itself. The percentage, the number of months, the bonus and the PayPal minimum are shown there, and they're the only figures you should rely on. If the page says the program is currently off, it's off.
Good to know
- Prizes, rewards and referral credits appear in your history as "Credit adjustment" when they carry no description.
- The Wallet page refreshes itself about every 15 seconds, so anything you earn appears on its own.
- The gift-opening screen and a few reward messages are shown in English in every language today.
- Free credits at sign-up? New accounts may receive welcome credits right after sign-up — one welcome per person, decided automatically. The amount shows in your wallet; nothing to claim.
